Former police chief Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol will be reinstated, following the earlier reinstatement of Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn.
A fact-finding committee cleared both Torsak and Surachate of wrongdoing, despite their initial transfer due to personal conflicts that caused widespread division within the police force.
The Council of State ruled that Surachate's prior removal from the force was illegitimate, leading to his reinstatement and the rectification of the mistake.
Officials express optimism that the resolution will help ease internal tensions within the Royal Thai Police, with both officers now personally responsible for any pending legal cases.
