Seventeen provinces across Thailand are warned to prepare for torrential rain and potential floods from today until Wednesday, with some areas already experiencing inundation.
Major dams in Kanchanaburi, Vajiralongkorn and Srinakarin, will increase water discharge, posing a risk of exacerbated flooding in low-lying downstream areas.
Areas like Phetchabun and Prachin Buri are already affected by river overflows, while Nakhon Phanom's Tha Uthen district has faced nearly a month of severe flooding, prompting military relief efforts.
