Elon Musk escalated his verbal attacks on British cave diver Vernon Unsworth, labeling him a “child rapist” in an email to BuzzFeed News.
The renewed assault follows Unsworth's criticism of Musk's miniature submarine rescue idea as a “PR stunt” during the Thai cave rescue.
Musk's unsubstantiated allegations, including claims about Unsworth's residency in Thailand, come shortly before a Thai government event honoring the cave rescuers.
The billionaire's previous “pedo guy” comments in July had already impacted Tesla's stock and raised concerns about his public conduct.
