Police have launched a massive manhunt for former lieutenant colonel Pansak Mongkolsin, wanted for the alleged contract murder of a petrol station owner and the serious wounding of his wife in Sa Kaew province.
A 50,000 baht reward is offered for information leading to the arrest of Pansak and his common-law wife, Mrs Thanaporn Sukkhojai, both considered dangerous suspects.
Pansak has a notorious criminal history, previously jailed for a 1994 double murder linked to the 'Saudi jewelry saga' and suspected in another murder shortly after his 2012 release.
Authorities warn police teams to be cautious, believing Pansak is still hiding in border areas rather than having escaped to Cambodia.
