Queen Elizabeth II will host a critical meeting with Prince Harry, Prince Charles, and Prince William to address the crisis ignited by Harry and Meghan's decision to step back from senior royal duties.
Meghan will join the discussions via conference call from Canada, where she has returned, as the family seeks to define their future roles and responsibilities.
Key issues on the agenda include the couple's financial support, the retention of their HRH titles, and the scope for them to pursue commercial deals as they aim for financial independence.
The announcement reportedly caught senior royals off guard, prompting the Queen to demand an urgent "workable solution" to accommodate Harry and Meghan's desire for more freedom and a life divided between Britain and North America.
