A recently released convicted terrorist, 20-year-old Sudesh Amman, stabbed two people in Streatham, South London, while wearing a fake bomb.
Police, who were actively trailing Amman as part of a counter-terrorism operation, shot him dead at the scene, preventing further harm.
Two victims suffered stab wounds, with one's life-threatening condition improving and another released from the hospital; a third sustained minor injuries from flying glass.
The incident, following a similar attack in November, prompted Prime Minister Boris Johnson to announce "fundamental" changes to the handling of convicted terrorists after prison.
