Indonesia implemented strict measures against the coronavirus, barring entry to visitors who have been in China for 14 days and stopping all flights to/from mainland China from Wednesday.
243 Indonesian citizens evacuated from China's Hubei province are undergoing a 14-day quarantine at a military base on the sparsely populated Natuna Besar island.
The quarantine of evacuees sparked protests from some Natuna residents, who set tires ablaze, despite authorities assuring them of the safety and distance of the observation site.
