U.S. President Donald Trump will host a video teleconference with G7 leaders on Thursday to coordinate national responses to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The virtual meeting replaces the originally planned June summit at Camp David, bringing together leaders from the United States, France, Britain, Italy, Canada, Japan, and Germany, all significantly affected by the virus.
Discussions will focus on a comprehensive approach to tackle the crisis, encompassing health, finance, humanitarian aid, science, technology, and strategies to reopen world economies.
This session serves as a follow-up to a March 16 video conference and precedes another planned meeting in May, laying groundwork for further collaboration among the G7 nations.
