What is Jatuporn up to?
14 Sept 02:48 Key points summarised by AI
- Unpredictable Thai activist Jatuporn Prompan plans a new street protest against PM Prayut Chan-o-cha, signaling a significant escalation in the country's political power struggle.
- This re-emergence creates a potential two-pronged assault on PM Prayut, adding considerable volatility to his government despite recent rural election successes.
- Many analysts speculate Jatuporn has reconciled with Thaksin Shinawatra, aiming to weaken Prayut, strengthen Pheu Thai, and potentially sideline the Move Forward Party, though his past comments and inherent unpredictability cast doubt on clear motives.
