Authorities discovered three dead and four injured Myanmar migrant workers abandoned in a Thai rubber plantation after villagers reported their presence.
Survivors recounted paying human traffickers for passage; their journey involved a pickup truck overturning, followed by another driver dumping them in the plantation with a false promise of an ambulance.
The incident highlights the dangerous plight of undocumented Myanmar migrants seeking employment in Thailand, frequently facilitated by human trafficking gangs, as the country reopens businesses.
