A 69-year-old gunman opened fire at a Kurdish cultural center and nearby cafe in central Paris, killing three people and injuring three others.
French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the "heinous attack" targeting the Kurdish community, while the Interior Minister stated the assailant clearly aimed at foreigners.
The suspected gunman, who had a history of violent acts and was recently released from detention for an attack on a migrant camp, was arrested at the scene.
The shooting triggered violent protests in Paris, with riot police clashing with angry crowds, and Kurdish leaders called for increased protection for their community.

President Macron condemned widespread rioting and looting during nationwide protests, blaming far-left activists and criminals for the "unrestrained violence" and vowing accountability for those who "sought to bring down the Republic."
Over 2,400 arrests were made as protests against rising living costs and poor school conditions escalated, causing extensive damage to public buildings and businesses in cities like Paris, Limoges (where City Hall burned), Marseille, and Lyon.
The unrest, which organizers hoped would revive the "yellow vest" movement, saw political leaders trade blame, with Macron instructing prefects to protect public buildings and potentially ban future protests to prevent further disorder.
