The 'Mitr Bamrung Mueang' exhibition, a highlight of Bangkok Design Week 2023, aims to revitalize the historic Phra Nakhon neighborhood, specifically Bamrung Mueang Road, by transforming it into a vibrant 'third place' for community interaction.
Organized by Urban Ally (Silpakorn University), the event features over 25 art installations across 13+ locations along a 2-kilometer stretch, inviting visitors to re-engage with the old city's cultural richness.
The exhibition utilizes three main venues—the Hall of Sculpture as a 'drawing room,' Lan Khon Mueang Town Square as a 'playing room,' and Maen Si Metropolitan Waterworks as a 'living room'—each offering unique artistic experiences, lighting installations, and activities to breathe new life into the district.
