A public hearing is open until November 22 to gather opinions on reclassifying billiards, snooker, and boxing.
The proposal aims to remove these activities from outdated gambling regulations, reclassifying them as sports eligible for promotion.
This amendment seeks to overcome restrictions from 1935 regulations, boosting youth participation and sport development.
The reclassification will also modernize sports management, aligning boxing with international standards under the Sports Authority of Thailand.
