Paetongtarn Shinawatra visited her father, convicted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, at the Police General Hospital, marking the first day visitors were permitted.
Thaksin, serving an eight-year sentence for corruption, was transferred from prison to the police hospital due to multiple severe health conditions, including life-threatening heart disease.
The move has sparked public criticism regarding perceived 'VIP treatment,' as he occupies a floor typically reserved for high-ranking police, though authorities cite his critical medical needs.
A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday at Pheu Thai headquarters to provide further updates on Thaksin's medical condition.
