The fall of Dr Anchulee: From police ‘angel’ to drug suspect

Former police 'angel' Dr. Anchulee Theerawongpaisal was arrested for allegedly orchestrating a network illegally supplying 'knock-out' drugs like alprazolam and zolpidem, often associated with date rape.
Her network reportedly operated through fake clinics, bogus prescriptions for deceased patients, and parcel delivery, circulating over 400 million baht and showing connections to Chinese crime syndicates.
Following her arrest, Anchulee was dismissed from her psychiatrist role at the Police General Hospital and denied bail due to the severity of the charges, opting to remain silent despite her communication skills.
Despite a previously positive public image, Anchulee had a history of controversies, including scrutiny over 'birth tourism' schemes and accusations of demanding bribes for Thai visas for Chinese business figures.
