Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will not fly an F-16 fighter jet during his visit to Wing 1 due to insufficient time to complete mandatory safety and medical procedures.
The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) had considered inviting the PM to fly an F-16 to provide first-hand experience and a better understanding of its capabilities, stressing strict adherence to safety protocols.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will instead receive briefings on Air Force missions, F-16 capabilities, and meet with personnel at Wing 1.
The RTAF stated that any future flight would strictly follow safety and training standards, aiming to provide policymakers with insights into air power for more effective decision-making.

Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul initiated a nationwide crackdown on illegal Thai nominee shareholders in foreign-run businesses and land holdings to safeguard national interests.
The government will integrate efforts across all relevant agencies to target illicit foreign operations, forced sales of illegally acquired property, and high-risk land ownership schemes.
Key strategies include auditing suspect land and building holdings, establishing a long-term monitoring system, and cross-referencing data from various authorities to trace ultimate beneficial owners.
Prime Minister Anutin emphasized that no influential figures or corrupt officials are above the law, promising straightforward prosecution, asset seizures, and protection for enforcing officers.
Beyond land ownership, the integrated crackdown will also extend to tackle transnational crimes, including drug and human trafficking.
