Today 08:56 Key points summarised by AI

Thailand plans to introduce a 450 baht landing fee for all foreign visitors, expected to take effect in the first quarter of next year, with 80% public support during hearings.
The fee aims to generate over 8 billion baht annually, which will be allocated to improve tourist safety, provide accident and emergency insurance coverage, and enhance tourism facilities.
Various collection methods are under consideration, including adding the fee to air ticket prices, through a dedicated application, or at arrival kiosks, designed to minimize inconvenience for visitors.
Tourism authorities anticipate a minimal negative impact on the industry, noting strong recovery in key markets and planning year-end promotions to achieve a target of 33 million tourist arrivals for the year.
