Tracking PM Anutin’s overseas business trips

Anutin flew to Japan on Sunday to discuss business cooperation, including in the automobile sector, before travelling to New York on Monday to join the 81st session of the UN General Assembly and to meet with US leader Donald Trump, with negotiations on a bilateral trade deal and tariff rates on the table. In the UK, the premier is scheduled to meet representatives from the Thai-UK Business Council, Virgin Atlantic and Rolls-Royce. The current Bhumjaithai administration has vowed to pursue its proactive approach to diplomacy, with Anutin aiming to position himself as the country’s self-proclaimed “salesman.” Anutin has met several world leaders during his trips under both the current and previous governments, including US President Donald Trump in Malaysia during the signing of the so-called ‘Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord’ last year and Xi Jinping at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in July.
