A Facebook page named “PR Cambodian Government” posted an attack on Thai media, claiming the report about “Thailand controlling 11 border areas” was false, and asserted that Cambodia still holds those areas. On the Thai side, the Special Operations Centre for Thai-Cambodian Border Situations Management (SOC-TCBSM) confirmed that they have taken full control of all 11 areas since the morning of July 29, 2025.

A Facebook account posted a claim that Thai fighter jets released toxic smoke over Cambodia. Verification revealed that the image was entirely AI-generated.

An account on platform X shared a video clip showing a city being bombed, along with a caption referring to unrest between Thailand and Cambodia, claiming that Thailand had launched airstrikes on Cambodian military bases—while Russia and Ukraine remain at war. In reality, the footage is of Russia attacking Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, using missiles and drones.

Thai PBS Verify has found a Facebook account impersonating a real resort on Koh Si Chang, tricking people into booking rooms ahead of the Songkran festival. According to the resort owner, the scam has led hundreds of victims to transfer deposit payments, only for the fraudsters to vanish with the money.
