Matcha, or green tea powder, is a health drink that has become increasingly popular, often found in desserts and wellness beverages. Many people enjoy its rich flavor and distinctive aroma, but questions remain — could drinking matcha regularly over a long period have any effects on the body?

According to Meltwater data, online shopping in Thailand accounted for 11.4% of total retail purchases in June 2025, marking an 8.8% increase compared to the previous year. With such rapid growth, this space has inevitably become a prime target for scammers. One emerging tactic is the “Brushing Scam”, a deceptive scheme in which scammers send unsolicited parcels to people’s homes.

Thai PBS joins as one of the key partners in the event “Information War 2025: The Truth Challenge in an Age of Distrust,” sharing ideas and strategies to combat the rapid and increasingly complex spread of misinformation in the digital era. The event also marks the official launch of “Thai PBS Verify,” a fact-checking service dedicated to verifying fake news and filtering out accurate information.

In September 2024, the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) revealed that insurance claims for vehicles damaged by flooding amounted to over 420 million baht. More than 2,000 vehicles were assessed for repair or compensation due to flood-related damage.

The intensive workshop-style camp, “Thai PBS Verify Youth Camp: Shaping Critical Thinkers to Combat Misinformation – Gen 1,” officially wrapped up. This event was organized by the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS) through the Digital Media Division—an operator of the Thai PBS Verify platform—in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Cofact (Thailand), and TikTok from 8–10 August 2025, at Thailand Science Park, NSTDA, Pathum Thani Province.

The House Committee on Communications convened a brainstorming session, joining forces with cybersecurity agencies, the Personal Data Protection organization, and public media to establish a systematic approach to tackling fake news. The aim is to strengthen society’s resilience against misinformation and promote mindful, transparent, and informed communication in the digital era.

Gathering all the voices of expectation from participants of the Thai PBS Verify Youth Camp: Developing Critical Thinkers to Defeat Fake News, Gen 1 — an intensive training camp designed to nurture young people to become both media receivers and skilled fact-checkers. Participants also get hands-on experience in media production, critical thinking, analysis, and building immunity against misinformation, while upskilling their content creation abilities.
