This 3-day, 2-night workshop will feature hands-on learning sessions led by experts from various fields, designed to strengthen essential skills for navigating today’s information overload — from fake news to misinformation and disinformation. The camp will be held during 8 – 10 August 2025 at Thailand Science Park (NSTDA), Pathum Thani. For the competition, the participants are required to produce a short fact-checking video under the theme: “Campaign for Media and Information Literacy.” Winners will receive scholarships totaling over 30,000 Baht, certificates, and trophies from Thai PBS. Intensive Activities to Develop “Critical Thinkers Against Fake News”
The “Thai PBS Verify Youth Camp” is designed to provide young people with comprehensive learning and practical skill development, consisting of
- Workshop Camp — 8–10 August 2025 (3 days, 2 nights) at Thailand Science Park, NSTDA, Pathum Thani Province
Participants will learn from experts about asking critical questions, analyzing news, and fact-checking information. They will also develop skills in using digital media creatively and responsibly. All participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the camp. - Short Vertical Video Competition — Theme: “Campaign for Misinformation Awareness”
Youth participants will apply the knowledge gained during the camp to create and communicate messages to the public creatively. They will produce short vertical videos designed to be engaging, concise, and aligned with modern media consumption habits.
The competition results will be announced on 4 September 2025, with scholarships totaling over 30,000 baht, along with certificates and trophies for the winners.
Participant Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a current high school student (Grades 10–12) in the 2025 academic year.
- Have an interest in journalism, fact-checking, media literacy, or media production.
- Be nominated by their school as a team of three students from the same school located in Bangkok or nearby provinces — Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, or Samut Prakan.
- Each team must have one teacher advisor from their school to provide supervision and coordination throughout the program.
- Students must be physically and mentally fit, with no health conditions that could prevent participation in the 3-day, 2-night camp.
- Each participating school must produce at least one short fact-checking video (1–3 minutes long) within two weeks after the camp.
Selection Criteria
Only 15 teams (3 students per team) will be selected based on a 100-point evaluation as follows:
- Interest in media literacy and fake news awareness 30 points
Based on application forms, essays, or self-introduction video - Teamwork skills 20 points
Based on past group work or teacher recommendations - Communication and storytelling skills 20 points
Evaluated from the self-introduction video or school activities - Motivation and inspiration 20 points
Based on the applicant’s written statement of purpose - Regional suitability and school diversity 10 points
To ensure representation from various schools and areas.

- Team Introduction Video — a short video introducing the team, not exceeding 3 minutes in length
- Recommendation Letter from School — signed by the school principal or supervising teacher
- Copy of Student ID Card or National ID Card — must be valid and not expired
- Announcement of Selected Participants — will be published on www.thaipbs.or.th/VerifyYouthCamp2025
- Confirmation of Participation — selected teams must confirm their participation within 3 days after the announcement.
- Failure to confirm within the specified time will be considered a forfeiture of the right to participate. and reserve teams will be called in order of their scores.
Conditions of Participation
Selected teams must be able to participate in the full 3-day, 2-night training camp, staying overnight at Thailand Science Park (NSTDA), Pathum Thani.
After completing the camp, each team must produce one vertical video (3–5 minutes) focusing on fact-checking or awareness against false information, to be submitted for the contest under the theme: “Campaign for Media and Information Literacy.”
Each team will receive a production grant of 3,000 Baht to support the creation of their video.
Teams that participate in all project activities will receive a certificate of participation.
Winning teams will receive scholarships, certificates, and trophies.
All submitted works will be featured on Thai PBS online media platforms.
