Don’t fall for it! Fake pages are tricking people with offers to package pencils and pens, claiming good income from working at home. They impersonate real locations and deceive victims into transferring money, but never deliver any goods.

Thai PBS Verify has found Facebook pages advertising pencil and pen packaging jobs, claiming high income from remote work. Upon investigation, it was discovered that these pages falsely use images of real locations to trick people. The public is warned not to believe such claims, as many victims have reported being blocked after transferring money.

In the About section of the page, it states that it is a stationery manufacturing factory that produces and sells pencils, pens, educational materials, and office supplies, located in Nong Phrong Subdistrict, Si Maha Phot District, Prachinburi Province.

However, when checking the page’s transparency information, it was found that the page was created on August 11, 2021, and surprisingly, it lists page managers from multiple countries, including Cambodia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Austria, Pakistan, and Vietnam.

We investigated further by contacting the owner of the warehouse shown in the image and found that victims began showing up at the company around January 2025 to make inquiries. Each person who came had been deceived into transferring money, with the scammers claiming it was a required fee to open an account before receiving products to pack.

As more and more victims continued to show up with inquiries, the owner of the warehouse filed an official daily report as evidence, stating that the factory space for rent is not leased by any company named B.A. Stationery Transport Company Limited.

In addition, we found that some victims had previously posted reviews on Google Maps, confirming that the page had scammed them into transferring money for “system connection fees” three times, with the following charges: (saved link provided).

The first payment was 200 baht,

the second payment was 500 baht,

and the third payment was 1,500 baht.

Once victims transferred the money, they were no longer able to contact the page.

One of the victims told Thai PBS Verify that she had indeed lost money and the people in the LINE group she was added to were believed to be fake accounts designed to deceive victims into believing they w she realized it was a scam. ere receiving rewards for working with this fake company. She transferred money to sign up for the system system access, but when she realized there were additional fees of thousands of baht

What are the consequences of this false information?

The advertisement offering work-from-home opportunities has led many people to send inquiries. The page is still running the ads on Facebook, which continues to attract new inquiries. The ad has been viewed over 150,000 times, which may result in more victims being deceived into making advance payments or having their personal information misused. (saved link provided)
