Thai PBS Verify traced the disinformation to several platforms:
- Instagram (account: iran_military_official)
- X (accounts: NewsDaily, AlexandruC4, Defence Index, IránIsrael)
- TikTok (account: dream.life722)
These posts included the following English caption:
“🚨 BREAKING: Thailand is planning to bomb Cambodia’s capital — Phnom Penh — if rocket attacks on Thai territory continue. 🇹🇭💥🇰🇭

The video, showing a Royal Thai Air Force Gripen fighter jet, equipped with laser-guided and glide bombs, has garnered tens of thousands of views and over 600 shares and reposts.
Thai PBS reiterates that it has not reported or disseminated any such news or images on any platform.
Thai PBS Verify used InVID-WeVerify to extract key-frames from the video and checked them with Google Lens. No matching visuals were found in any Thai PBS content or other reputable sources.
The Royal Thai Air Force, contacted by Thai PBS, confirmed that the video depicts a Gripen training flight at Wing 7, Surat Thani, and is completely unrelated to the current border situation.
Moreover Thai PBS’s websites and platforms contain no such news or footage.
Additionally, the false video failed to provide any verifiable link to its alleged source, which is critical when validating information.
