Our Funding

All operations of Thai PBS Verify are funded through the legally established budget allocation mechanism of Thai PBS, which is supported by earmarked excise tax revenue on alcohol products under the Thai Public Broadcasting Service Act, B.E. 2551 (2008). The use of these public resources is subject to internal and external oversight mechanisms in accordance with applicable laws, public sector regulations and organizational accountability standards.

Resources allocated to fact-checking activities are managed transparently and remain fully auditable. No individual donor, external organization, political entity or commercial interest has the authority to influence editorial priorities, topic selection, verification processes or fact-checking conclusions. Editorial independence is institutionally protected through a clear separation between editorial operations and administrative management. Individuals or entities associated with organizational funding do not exercise influence over published content, including matters involving government agencies, public officials or influential institutions.

Thai PBS Verify is committed to maintaining public trust through transparency regarding its organizational structure, funding framework and the allocation of resources related to fact-checking operations. Should any significant revisions to the parent organization’s funding structure or related operational practices occur, Thai PBS Verify will communicate such updates publicly through its official website or other official communication channels.

This declaration reflects Thai PBS Verify’s commitment to ensuring that all fact-checking activities are conducted independently, transparently and in full alignment with the principles and standards of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN).
