Procedures for Corrections, Clarifications and Updates
In the event that any type of issue or error is identified, Thai PBS Verify will take the following actions:
- Correction: When inaccuracies affecting substantive information or conclusions are identified, Thai PBS Verify will promptly correct the content to reflect the most accurate and up-to-date facts available. In cases where the error may significantly affect public understanding, the editorial team will display the correction notice prominently to ensure that audiences are clearly informed of the correction.
- Clarification: In some cases, a review may determine that the original content was not factually incorrect but could potentially lead to misunderstanding or misinterpretation. In such situations, Thai PBS Verify will provide additional explanation or contextual information and clearly indicate that the content is a “Clarification” in order to help the public better understand the issue while maintaining the accuracy of the original content structure.
- Update: If new information becomes available after publication — such as additional official statements, new investigation findings, or changes in circumstances — Thai PBS Verify will update the content accordingly and clearly indicate the date and time of the update.
Public Complaints and Feedback Mechanism
Thai PBS Verify welcomes complaints, feedback, suggestions, and error notifications from members of the public, experts, and stakeholders through official communication channels, including:
- Email address listed on the Contact Webmaster button
- Direct message inboxes on the official social media channels of Thai PBS Verify
Upon receiving a complaint or notification, Thai PBS Verify will conduct an independent review of the matter. If an error is confirmed, the organization will implement corrections based on the severity and type of the issue identified. Thai PBS Verify will also make reasonable efforts to provide an initial response within approximately 24–72 hours, depending on the complexity of the issue involved.
All significant corrections made by Thai PBS Verify will be documented and archived within the organization’s internal system for purposes of internal quality assessment and to support transparency and accountability to the public and external organizations.
