Verified: Scammers Use “QR Code” to Deceive Victims with Claims of a Lawyer for Refunds; The ‘Lawyer’ Is Fake

Thai PBS Verify has found that scammers are taking clips of Thai PBS news anchors to trick people into scanning a QR Code. They claim that a lawyer will assist in the refund process before luring victims into a fake LINE group to speak with a "fake lawyer" and get them to lose money again.
