สุดขอบตะเข็บแดนตะวันตกไม่ใช่เป็นดินแดนชายขอบของจีนอีกต่อไป แต่จะเป็นจุดเชื่อมโยงที่จะย่นย่อการเดินทางข้ามทวีปและขนส่งสินค้าถึงผู้รับในเวลาไม่กี่ชั่วคืน
รถไฟความเร็วสูง Golmud–Korla ภายในประเทศจีนมีความยาว 1,200 กิโลเมตรเป็นการขนส่งทางรางระหว่างมณฑลชิงไห่ ทิเบตและซินเจียง แล่นตัดข้ามทะเลทรายทาคลามากันและภูเขาหิมะอันสูงชันและหนาวเหน็บ โดยใช้เวลาไม่ถึง 20 ชั่วโมง ไม่เพียงแค่ความสำคัญในการเชื่อมต่อดินแดนชายขอบกับภาคกลางของจีน แต่มีโครงข่ายสามารถต่อขยายไปในแนวเส้นทางสายไหมใหม่ และกำลังจะถูกจับตามองว่าจะเป็นทางรถไฟที่ขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจโลกต่อไป

- XINJIANG: A FREE TRADE ZONE OF THE NEW CHINA IN THE AGE OF AI
The westernmost border is no longer a marginalized zone of China. Instead, it’s destined to become “a point of interconnection” that will shorten the travel time between continents. Goods and products will now reach their destination in just a few nights.
The high-speed Golmud-Korla railway line is 1,200 kilometers long. It connects Qinghai province…the Tibet autonomous region…and Xinjiang by crossing the Taklamakan Desert and the snowy mountains. This entire distance will take less than 20 hours to cover. Apart from interlinking the marginalized zones with central China, the line will also expand into the network of the New Silk Road. The line is being closely watched as the railway that may potentially “drive forward” the world economy.
This is China’s vision for a project that is being carried out decades into the future…with a focus on “reaping the rewards” of progressive operations. It is “unbelievable” that a generation of people are witnessing these changes to “old ways of life”…and not just in China.People all over the world have come to recognize that “the dragon” will ascend past other countries to become “the world’s number one”. There was a time when people considered China’s products to be of low-quality, and even just poor imitations of other products. But, in this day and age, there are surely items all around us that are proudly branded as “Made in China”. When it comes to technological development, China keeps moving forward…without hesitation. And there may soon come a time when “old attitudes” concerning China’s products are “completely erased” from the way of thinking…of people…in the global marketplace.
