From past to present, the water markets of Damnoen Saduak have served as centres of trade and exchange, where it is a common sight to see neighbours paddling their boats past each other.

ในอดีต "ตลาดน้ำดำเนินสะดวก" คือศูนย์รวมการค้าขายและผู้คน ชาวบ้านที่พายเรือสวนกันคือเพื่อนบ้านที่อยู่ไม่ไกล เสียงพูดคุยบ่งบอกว่าสนิทกันแค่ไหน บรรยากาศคึกคักจนตลาดเลื่องชื่อ และกลายเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวสำคัญของชาวต่างชาติ

DAMNOEN SADUAK : WHICHEVER WAY WE GO

Damnoen Saduak refers to both land and water. Travelling by land, we find plantations and orchards on both sides of the pathways. Traditional furrow irrigation was brought over by Chinese settlers. Travelling by water, we observe the lifestyles throughout the length of Klong Damnoen Saduak which flows 32 kilometres.

"ดำเนินสะดวก" ชื่อนี้มีความสะดวกให้ดำเนินเดินทาง หากมาทางบก สองข้างทางจะพบเรือ สวน ไร่นา ที่ปลูกด้วยวิธียกร่องตามวิถีชาวจีนดั้งเดิม หรือถ้ามาทางน้ำ ย่อมซึมซับวิถีของชาวดำเนินได้เช่นกัน
