ลูกค้าชาวต่างชาติที่เคยนำรถมาซ่อม ได้กลับมาที่ร้านเพื่อดูรถ เขาบอกพนักงานว่า I wanted to come here and check out the cars. แต่พนักงานนึกว่ามาเพื่อลงชื่อออกจากร้าน ครูคริสเลยสอนว่า Check out แปลว่าลองตรวจสอบดู / ลงชื่อออก แต่ชาวต่างชาติเขามา Check out the car. เดินดูตรวจสอบรถ
ต่อมา พนักงานเริ่มแนะนำรถ Sir, this is a two-door car. นี่คือรถยนต์สองประตู ชาวต่างชาติบอก Oh yeah, a coupe. ใช่ นี่รถยนต์สองประตู แต่พนักงานได้ยินเป็นคำว่า Coup ที่แปลว่ารัฐประหาร
หลังจากนั้น ลูกค้าชาวต่างชาติถามต่อว่า Is it brand new ? แต่พนักงานเข้าใจผิดว่านี่เป็นรถยี่ห้อใหม่หรือเปล่า ? ครูคริสจึงสอนว่า Brand new แปลว่าใหม่แกะกล่อง แต่ถ้า New brand แปลว่ายี่ห้อใหม่ พนักงานจึงตอบลูกค้าว่า This is a second hand car. ชาวต่างชาติตอบกลับมาว่า So it's like a used car. แต่พนักงานเข้าใจว่ารถคันนี้ใช้ได้หลายอย่าง ครูคริสเลยสอนคำว่า Second hand car / Used car แปลว่ารถมือสอง หรือรถที่ใช้แล้ว
