เมื่อลูกค้าถามพนักงานขายรถว่า How big is the engine ? How many horsepower is it ? แต่พนักงานไม่เข้าใจว่าหมายถึงอะไร พนักงานจึงตอบว่า Yes. ทำให้ลูกค้าไม่พอใจแล้วเดินออกไป ครูคริสเลยสอนคำว่า Slow down, please. และ What do you mean ? เพื่อให้พนักงานฟังที่ลูกค้าพูดได้เข้าใจ
ต่อมาลูกค้าไปดูรถยนต์ห้าประตู หรือ Hatchback ลูกค้าบอกว่า Actually. I think this might be an SUV. แต่พนักงานขายเข้าใจว่า UV จึงบอกว่ารถจอดในที่ร่มตลอด ครูคริสจึงบอกว่า "SUV" ย่อมาจาก "Sports Utiliy Vehicle" แปลว่ารถที่มีความอเนกประสงค์ และต่อมาพนักงานพาลูกค้าเข้าไปนั่งในตัวรถ ลูกค้าบอกว่า Very spacious. พนักงานขายบอกว่า Yes, this car is very special. ครูคริสเลยสอนว่าลูกค้าหมายถึง Spacious ที่แปลว่าโอ่อ่า / กว้างขวาง
