Istanbul, which is a historic city situated on the boundary between two continents, moves forward in the digital world as “a fertile ground for startups”. With their mission to create change through startups, the younger generation is building their dreams with courage amidst the challenges of the times and the country’s “ever-changing”economic and political conditions. In a world full of options, dreams of “a progressive life” have pushed a good number of Turkish people “to leave the country”. The phenomenon of “brain drain” has become a major challenge for Türkiye. With the constant flow of young energy and brainpower “outside the country”…startups are no longer just a business platform, but they are attempting to attract and preserve knowledge and skillsets…in order “to stay put within”. Startups represent the hope that “the drainage of human investment resources” can be prevented…as well as “the hope” that youngsters may want “to live and to grow” in their own birthplace.
