WAYS OF LIFE AT THE END OF KLONG PASEE CHAROEN

With the length of 620 ‘sen’ of Klong Pasee Charoen, from the mouth of the klong canal all the way westward to Ta Jeen River, we get to see the end of klong ahead of us on today’s trip. We learn about the units traditionally used in measuring distance that are no longer used in this day and age. From the second zone, we travel on to the fourth zone and on to the beginning of the Samut Sakhon zone, before sailing along Klong Pasee Charoen and out onto Ta Jeen River. We observe the environment on both sides of the klong of Kratoom Ban, known as the town of the fabric production industry. A small group of people are forming an expanding cooperative network on a mission to breathe new life into Klong Pasee Charoen and into klong culture.
