Thai PBS Announces Thai PBS Verify Youth Camp 2026 Results. 32 Youth Teams Showcase Works as New-Generation Fact-Checkers

Closing with great impression and intensity for the project "Thai PBS Verify Youth Camp 2026: Shaping Thinkers, Conquering False Information, Combating Scammer Threats," after 32 upper secondary school youth teams from over 123 applicant teams nationwide. (excluding Bangkok and its vicinity)
Through learning and actual practice throughout 5 days and 4 nights, before translating their knowledge into Fact-Checking Video works under the topic of combating scammer threats, along with presenting their concepts and fact-checking processes to the qualified committee in the project’s closing ceremony and award announcement on July 4, 2026, at Mida Don Mueang Airport Hotel, Bangkok.

Thai PBS Verify Youth Camp 2026: Shaping Thinkers, Conquering False Information, Combating Scammer Threats is a training camp under the cooperation of Thai PBS, which is supported by the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), the Media Development Fund, and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), to develop youth to have media literacy, fact-checking, and scammer threat-handling skills, through learning from experts, studying the work processes of Thai PBS Verify and the CIB, as well as practicing interviewing, researching information, scriptwriting, filming, and actual clip editing, until they can produce media works that concretely reflect critical thinking processes, data accuracy, and social responsibility.
Pitching Stage: Youth Showcase Potential as New-Generation Fact-Checkers
Before Entering Project Presentations, Mr. Adisak Limparungpatanakij, Deputy Director of Thai PBS, expressed praise for all 64 youth who passed through the intensive learning process throughout 5 days and 4 nights, while emphasizing that the most important thing about this camp is not just the prizes, but rather the “way of thinking and information literacy skills” that will stay with the youth for the rest of their lives, and hoped that everyone will take this knowledge back to extend further, passing it on to families, schools, and communities to join in building a society that does not fall for false information.

After that, all 32 youth teams presented their Fact-Checking Video works, along with explaining their concepts, fact-checking processes, and methods of communicating data to the public to the qualified committee, reflecting the potential of the new generation in applying knowledge from the training to produce accurate, credible, and creative media, responding to communication demands in the digital era effectively.


Media Development Fund Pushes Youth Toward Active Citizens with Data-Checking Skills
Dr. Dhanakorn Srisooksai, CEO of the Media Development Fund, expressed congratulations to all youth teams, while praising the development and potential that occurred throughout the camp, stating that over the past 5 days and 4 nights, all youth have proven that when receiving opportunities and the correct knowledge, they can develop their potential outstandingly, becoming false information checkers and content creators who can be “active, quality, and discerning citizens,” along with thanking Thai PBS for jointly driving such a good project, which comports with the mission of the Media Development Fund in supporting media development, including creating a learning space for the new generation to practice.

Dr. Dhanakorn added that, at present, everyone can be a producer and disseminator of information, so it is even more necessary to have skills in fact-checking and disseminating information responsibly, while inviting the youth to take the knowledge from the camp to extend further, passing it on to communities to join in building a society that is literate in information, before concluding that, “I admire and congratulate all of you. No matter what the competition results are, everyone is a winner because you have received skills and ways of thinking that will stay with you for the rest of your lives. Please keep this determination and use it to build further to create good changes for society. I believe we will meet again in good projects of the Fund and Thai PBS in the future.”
Scouting for the Best Fact-Checking Works: Qualified Committee of Judges Provides Feedback
The works of each youth team all reflected the application of the fact-checking process systematically, from setting topics, checking information from multiple sources, interviewing, analyzing facts, to transferring stories through video clips that are easy to understand, suitable for viewers on digital platforms.




In this regard, the judging of works will be considered from 4 aspects, namely, accuracy and realism, topic selection, the fact-checking process, and editing and presentation techniques, with the honor of having a qualified committee of judges consisting of:
