เวียดนามกำลังหายใจรดต้นคอข้าวไทยในเชิงปริมาณส่งออกที่มีความใกล้เคียงกันราว 8 - 9 ล้านตันต่อปี สรุปอันดับผู้ส่งออกข้าวอันดับต้นของโลก อินเดียครองอันดับ 1 ไทยตามมาอันดับ 2 และไม่ทิ้งห่างกันนัก เวียดนามกำลังจะไต่อันดับขึ้นมาทั้งเรื่องของปริมาณ คุณภาพและราคา
ข้าว ST 25 ของเวียดนามคือนวัตกรรมการเกษตรที่รัฐบาลส่งเสริมพันธุ์ข้าวลักษณะพิเศษ เหมาะสมกับสภาพพื้นที่และตอบสนองความต้องการของตลาดผู้บริโภค และยังเตรียมพร้อมที่จะส่งออกผลไม้อีกหลากหลากชนิดในแหล่งเพาะปลูกตามลุ่มแม่น้ำ ที่ราบสูงสำคัญของประเทศตั้งแต่เหนือจรดใต้ ด้วยประสิทธิภาพของพลเรือนในภาคการเกษตรที่มีจำนวนมาก แรงงานและค่าครองชีพที่สามารถควบคุมต้นทุนการผลิตได้ และนวัตกรรมปลูกข้าวเป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม
ในทริปนี้เราจะออกสำรวจพื้นที่เพาะปลูกในเวียดนาม ประเทศที่มีภูมิประเทศ ภูมิอากาศครบถ้วนในการเป็นแหล่งอาหารของโลก และยังเป็นด่านหน้าทางทะเลที่จะเข้าสู่ภูมิภาคอาเซียนบนบกในการเป็นศูนย์การค้าและส่งออกที่สำคัญของโลก
VIETNAM AND AGRICULTURAL INNOVATIONS FOR STABILITY
Vietnamese rice is competing with Thai rice since both have similar export numbers of 8-9 million tons per year. India is the world’s leading rice exporter, followed by Thailand in second place. But Vietnam isn’t too far behind and is trying to improve in terms of quantity…quality…and price.
Vietnamese ST 25 rice is an agricultural innovation that has resulted from the government’s support of “a special variety of rice” that is suitable for the local environment and responds to the demands of the consumer market. They are also prepared to export various types of fruits from plantations on alluvial plains and significant plateaus from the North to the South of the country. This is due to “high efficiency” in the agricultural sector…as well as, proper labor costs and living expenses that can control the production…and environmentally friendly rice plantation innovations.
On this trip, we are going to explore “plantations in Vietnam”, which is a country with an amazing landscape and perfect climate for being a leader in “world food production”. It’s also “the maritime gateway” to access the ASEAN region on land…as well as, being an important trade and export center of the global market.
